My favourite youtube clip for a long time. Someone’s done a little remix to the Bill O’Reilly temper tantrum that’s been on youtube for a while.
Oh, NSFW. A few F-Bombs in this baby. Enjoy.
The neighbour and the boyfriend have made up.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good thing! I’m glad she’s gotten back with the guy before she gave birth. I don’t know the full story or situation but she moved in next door by herself. Well, I say herself but I also mean with cute little dog Mango (yes, that’s its name.) Now that the boy is back the dog stays outside until just before they sleep.
See where I’m going with this?
Cute little dogs are fine. Apart from chihuahuas (i don’t get it, but every one of those fuckers hates me. doesn’t matter who it belongs to) and the big scary dogs that will eat anyone that look the wrong way, I’m fine. Except yap yap yap yap yap. Kids walk by? Yap yap yap. I walk outside to throw something in the bin? Yap yap yap yap. It wants inside? I think you get the picture. The thing is, it’s an indoor dog anyway. I yell its name and I just make things worse. I don’t want to say anything to the neighbour and it doesn’t really matter in the long run, I’m moving in 2 weeks anyway.
I haven’t really investigated my new area yet, but it’s more residential than where I am now (I’m about a block away from one of the main highways in Mildura). More families then rentahomes. There’s bound to be more dogs. Sigh. 😛
Hey, hands up who remembers Juke Kartel? Don’t stress if you don’t. It’s their own fault. Or the record labels for taking so long.
Toby Rand was runner up in Rockstar, a reality show that brought us The new INXS and Supernova, a band who we haven’t heard much from since the debut. Are they still together? I wonder if Jason is kicking himself for leaving Metallica yet… Instead of picking the Aussie, they picked the guy who couldn’t sing properly, looked like some emo poster boy and Toby’s band Juke Kartel got to support. Before Rockstar they already had a track on itunes Firesign and Save Me. Both good decent rocking tracks. A soon as Toby got back, he and the band went straight into the studio and recorded the track “Throw It Away”, a fun little singalong which was a favourite on the reality show. Lead up to the debut album? Hardly. 2008 comes along and the second single is finally released. The original version is removed from the net as well. Instead we get an overproduced slick radio friendly version. Have a listen to this – demo and compare it to the new version here. They’ve put a lot of effort into it. Why, when the original was so good? To make a more commercial impact? If that was the reason, I would of released an album a little sooner while you were still in the minds of a lot of people. And if the original sounded a little off, I can get that. But they sounded good! and it’s also been 2 years since the show. Songs like Firesign sound really good too. Thinking too much on how successful you want your album just turns into Chinese Democracy.
Oh, speaking of which. The Guns N Roses album is available for preorder on Itunes. I’m curious to see the reaction when it is finally released.
First up, congratulations America. You may have gotten yourself a pretty gosh darn neat President for the next four years. Shame the Californians (who voted Obama) managed also to take a little step backwards. But hey, we in Australia can talk.
I don’t know why I haven’t mentioned it in here yet, but I’ve been talking about it on twitter and all – I own a house. It’s quite a scary proposition (oh god, there’s that word :P) but in the long run better for me. Sure, I have a whole heap of bills I now need to worry about but not wasting cash on some bugger who owns four units anymore (what what I’ve been told, they are all owned by the same guy…)
They say it’s a “townhouse”, but I just see it as a house. Three bedrooms, one biggish yard (in which a decent sized shed will be appearing once I’m actually living there) a big lounge room that scares me when I look at the pictures. Apart from a paint job, the shed and some bits and pieces, there’s no work to be done on the house at all. If I had bought this place, it would of needed quite a bit of work. Bathroom, carpet, air conditioner on the way out, paint,… you get me. The process was quite easy as well. No problems with either the bank or the real estate. I told them I have no debts, a decent job, no car or fuel to worry about and that was it! It’s in the middle of the whole “waiting for this to go through” stage where there’s lots of phone calls and signatures but they’ve got the sold sign out the front. It’s scary and exciting at the same time…
