Got myself a new sound system yesterday – a present to myself, mainly. I wish I could say I didn’t need it, but since my old sound system finally died, I didn’t have much of a choice. Nice 5.1 system that I’ve only managed to get working through the actual player I’ve been provided with. It doesn’t matter, but I’d really like to get the ps3 to properly work as well, ehh, but still, great to have things wooshing around me finally. Next thing (after my trips) is to save up for a decent telly. then my entertainment system will be finally in the 21st century! I’ll try to snap some photos later of it, if you don’t mind my messy cables,.,,.
With all the rain going on in Cali at the moment, I’m talking to my friend over there and I have a quick hunt on the youtubes of the floods that swept through my old home town Wagga earlier on this month. Holy Crap! This is the first time I’ve seen any of this footage, and by god! Insane! As you can see a little on through the clip, this is the underground shopping centre carpark right smack bang in the middle of town. I’ve parked there many many times. This one is outside in the street – you can actually see the grills across the road. And it’s worth a giggle to see all the small cars trying to get through and failing. Muhahaha

Oh my! Look’s whats available for free from a TV company in Scotland! And completely uncensored for Victorian viewers! Hee hee hee The Scottish voice over guy sucks, but the episode, all the actors and characters are the same. I wonder if the Aus government would do anything if they knew…. Americans, try watching it anyways. Great show, and 95% true as well.

A song just came up on my itunes from a mass “hottest 100” torrents download that I haven’t heard in years, and god, it brought back some memories. First up, They’re called severed heads. As far as the interwebs can tell me, they’ve been around since 1979! There was a song that was massive even on the radio pop charts believe it or not – a remix of an older song – Dead Eyes Opened. The song that just came on – I didn’t even realise it was a Severed Heads song. One of those tracks you remember hearing back in the day, but I always thought it was some British group and I’d never be lucky to find out who they were. “Heart of the Party”. Opinions? The clip is retro and terrible, but I love the song –
http://io9.com/5714040/back-to-the-future-game-reveals-origin-story-for-doc-a… Okay, you’ve got Bob Gale involved. You’ve got Chris Lloyd involved. Sadly, no MJF. But that’s understandable. You’d got my interest. Telltale Games have done some wonderful work with old games before (Sam & Max, Monkey Island). I have faith that these are going to be good. 😀

http://www.undercover.fm/news/13102 Hmmmm.. Itunes have the ability to make something “Album Only”. Looks like it’s (as usual) the record labels being pricks. It’s weird though, you’d think those evil bastards would love this. They’d get more cash out of the people who want the latest disposable pop artist. Spending 17 dollars for two “good” tracks and a lot of filler instead of a dollar on the one track you do want. Unless the labels are finally realising that there’s more cash in people who JUST want to download “another brick in the wall, pt 2” and nothing else. Although, I have to admit Pink Floyd are one of the few groups out there where I’d agree and say to listen to it from beginning to end. Maybe this ruling means AC-DC will finally get off their arses and release their stuff to the digital world….
